Ford Remote Access Steps

Start Your Ford Vehicle

Lock your vehicle’s doors using your key fob.
Push the remote start button twice.
Exterior lamps will flash twice to indicate success.
Horn will sound to indicate remote start failure.

Turn Off Your Ford Vehicle

Push the remote start button on your key fob once.
Exterior lamps will turn off to indicate shutdown.

Use Memory Feature (If Equipped)

When activating remote start, Memory Feature will adjust seating, mirrors, steering column positions, and more if they are pre-set.

Feedback on Remote Start Status

Some Ford Remote Access systems provide feedback to inform you of the status of your remote start or stop commands. Below, Irmo-area drivers will find a quick rundown of their meanings:

Solid Green — Remote start successful.
Solid Red — Remote stop successful. The vehicle is off.
Blinking Red — Remote stop or start failed.
Blinking Green — Awaiting status update.

Reasons Ford Remote Access Won't Work
