Ford Protect Extended Service Plans
Take your pick from four Ford Protect Extended Service Plans to add additional coverage on your new Ford vehicle.
- PowertrainCARE: The first in the lineup of Ford Protect Extended Service Plans covers 29 components within the engine, rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, and transmission. Not every component is covered within these systems, but importantly, the major ones are covered. Make sure you are using the factory-recommended fuel type so as not to void your warranty coverage.
- BaseCARE: Get coverage on 84 components, adding steering, brakes, A/C and heating, electrical parts, and front suspension to those covered in the PowertrainCARE plan. Keep in mind that like the previous plan, not all components are covered, like the anti-lock brake module, for example.
- ExtraCARE: Irmo drivers who opt for this Ford warranty program can expect coverage of 113 components. Tech and convenience features are added to the mix, including keyless and remote entry and power window motors. However, more advanced features like Ford SYNC® or rain-sensing windshield wipers are not covered.
- PremiumCARE: Get the most comprehensive coverage from PremiumCARE, which includes more than 1,000 Ford components. Most anything not covered by the other plans should fall under this plan’s umbrella.
Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan
When your 7-year/100,000-mile Ford Powertrain Warranty ends, take advantage of the Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan. Under this plan, oil changes, filter replacements, multi-point inspections, and tire rotations are covered, along with replacing parts that have endured normal wear and tear. Keeping up with routine maintenance, no matter the age of your vehicle, is crucial to ensure it continues to run smoothly.
