How to Program a Ford Key Fob

Ford Key Fob Programming Instructions 

  1. Close all of your car doors, then open the driver-side door. Push the UNLOCK button on the driver-side door. 
  2. Turn your Ford ignition from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, ensuring the eighth cycle time ends on RUN. Once you've entered programming mode, the door locks will lock and unlock by themselves. (Note: If the doors don't lock and unlock, turn the key faster. If you still can't get the door locks to cycle, your car may not have keyless entry.) 
  3. Press any button on the Ford key fob to begin programming. Do this within eight seconds. The door locks will cycle again to acknowledge that your Ford key fob programming was successful and ready to use.
  4. Do you have a second remote Ford key fob? Again, press any button on the remote within eight seconds to get the door locks to cycle. Repeat this step for any additional Ford key fobs until you're finished. 
  5. Finally, turn the ignition to the OFF position. The locks will cycle once again to confirm successful Ford key fob programming.
