2024 Ford Escape Basics

The 2024 Ford Escape has made it a mission to provide straightforward, reliable on-road transportation and light off-road fun. A range of powertrain choices and many standard features on all trims turn this compact SUV into a family favorite.

Ford’s 2024 Escape is a stylish SUV with an attractive design inside and in. The Active and ST-Line models are powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gas engine for 180 horsepower. The higher trims, including the ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, and Escape Platinum, boast a more powerful 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine as standard. All Models except for the Active can also be had with a hybrid engine. Ford also offers an exclusive Plug-in Hybrid, FWD trim.

Drivers can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive options on the Active, ST-Line, and Platinum models. The ST-Line Select and Elite come exclusively with all-wheel drivetrains. Sport handling suspensions are available on all ST-Line models, offering better shock absorption and handling around corners.

A Spacious Interior

The 2024 Escape boasts plenty of space for all passengers. Unique cloth front bucket seats come standard on the Active trim, enhancing comfort for the driver and front passenger while adding visual appeal. In most higher trims, partial vinyl and cloth front bucket seats give the interior a sporty feel. Sliding second-row seats increase legroom for rear passengers, so adults can sit comfortably.

Cargo space is also plentiful, with up to 37.5 cubic feet of cargo area behind the second row of seats. With the second row folded, cargo capacity expands up to 64.5 cubic feet.

Modern Technology

Ford equips its new Escape with all the amenities and technology we have come to expect from modern vehicles. Standard on all trims is the automaker’s Co-Pilot360 technology that blends safety and convenience features, such as pedestrian detection, dynamic brake support, and automated emergency braking. Ford’s Blind Spot Information Service (BLIS) is another standard highlight.

Inside the vehicle, the SYNC 4 infotainment system comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, SiriusXM 360L, and an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot for seamless connectivity on the go. The vehicle also boasts a digital instrument cluster that displays all essential driving information behind the steering wheel.
