Wearing the Mustang nameplate and powered by electric motors, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E reimagines the legendary pony car as an eco-friendly, track-ready SUV. Lexington drivers can find the EV in several configurations at their local Ford dealership, waiting to be test-driven.

Capable Electric Powertrain

The base Mustang Mach-E is powered by a single electric motor and a 73-kWh battery, generating a stable 264 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque. The motor sits on the rear axle, forming an RWD system with sporty handling dynamics. Opting for the eAWD configuration adds a second electric motor, boosting power output to 325 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque and providing extra traction for less-than-ideal driving conditions.

While the entry-level Mustang Mach-E offers abundant power for spirited driving, true track-focused performance is offered at the GT and Rally trim levels. The more powerful of the two, the Mustang Mach-E Rally, is propelled by a 91-kWh Extended-Range Battery and a powerful dual-motor setup, zapping 480 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. The SUV sprints from 0 to 60 mph in a lightning-fast 3.4 seconds and finishes the quarter-mile run in 11.8 seconds.

Selectable Drive Modes

Three standard drive modes let you adjust the powertrain’s characteristics to your mood on the base model. For day-to-day driving, Engage mode balances power with comfort and adds a soft blue ambient glow to the cabin. Whisper mode optimizes the SUV for driving on wet and slippery roads. Meanwhile, Unbridle mode unleashes all of the powertrain’s horses for aggressive acceleration, adds a sportier feel to the steering, and turns the cabin’s ambient lighting orange.

The Mustang Mach-E offers three additional drive modes with their availability tied to different trim levels. For instance, Unbridle Extended mode is exclusively available on the GT model and reduces peak power to keep the battery from overheating. Rally Sport mode, which is available on the Rally model, improves the SUV’s all-terrain capabilities by enhancing linear throttle response.

Reliable Driving Range

Despite its immense power, the Mustang Mach-E is remarkably energy-efficient, driving up to 260 miles on a single charge in its base configuration. The available Extended Range Battery increases the SUV’s range to an impressive 320 miles on some models.

You can charge the SUV at any location included in the BlueOval Charge Network. Alternatively, you can connect the electric vehicle to a Ford Charge Station Pro installed in your home.
