Meet the 2025 Ford Maverick: Compact Truck Revolution Continues

The daring 2025 Ford Maverick hits the road with future-ready technology, an outstanding hybrid powertrain, and fantastic new trim options. Read our guide below to get to know the versatile compact pickup.

Two Brand New Trims

Ford elevated its lineup for 2025 by adding two brand-new trims to the mix. Their five model offerings include the sturdy XL trim, upgraded XLT, performance-focused Lobo, convenience-rich Lariat, and rugged Tremor trim.

The new Lobo trim adds performance-tuned steering and a 7-speed Quick Shift transmission with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. The ever-capable Tremor trim also comes equipped with the EcoBoost engine and pairs it with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Tremor’s off-roading features include advanced 4WD, exposed front tow hooks, and skid plates.

Hybrid Excellence

Front-wheel drive, a seamless continuously variable transmission, and a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain motivate the XL trim. With the standard setup, this pickup achieves an average of 42 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon when cruising down the highway. Mavericks equipped with the available all-wheel drive achieve an average of 40 miles per gallon on city streets.

Whether equipped with the standard hybrid powertrain or the available EcoBoost engine, the Maverick has a standard towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. Doubling this capacity is easy with the 4K Tow Package. This option adds a Trailer Hitch two-inch receiver with a four-pin and seven-pin connector.

Modern Pickup Bed

Six tie-downs allow you to secure larger cargo items in your 4.5-foot-long pickup bed. Two pre-wired 12-volt connections make it easy to plug in tailgating supplies right in the bed. Ford has made it easy to customize the bed to your needs with available upgrades like LED box lighting, tie-down locking rails, cubby storage on the passenger side, and spray-in bedliner.

Sophisticated Technology

Ford’s intuitive SYNC 4 infotainment system makes the 13.2-inch touchscreen easy to use. This large display is also where you’ll see the feed from your rearview camera. An available 360-degree camera offers even more views for enhanced visibility. Two front USB ports keep your device plugged in and fully charged, with the option to add a wireless smartphone charging pad and leave cords in the past.

Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking helps you stay safer on the road. Safety assistance upgrades include lane-keeping aid, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert.
